Position Title: General Manager / Chief Operating Officer
Reports to: Club President / Board of Directors / Membership

Job  Summary:
The Columbia Club General Manager serves as our Chief Operating Office in concert with the Board President and support from the Board of Directors. The General Manager oversees all aspects of the Club's activities; providing guidance and administration of the Club's policies, as defined by our Board of Directors, and governed by our Bylaws, while preserving a Platinum Club member engaging experience, continuous staff enrichment, and expanding political, civic, philanthropic, corporate, and community relationships. The General Manager develops, implements, and monitors the annualized budget, quality of member service provided, and preservation of Club assets, including historical artifacts, artworks, and facilities. The General Manager must maintain a visionary perspective of evolving member and community needs, wants, and aspirations to ensure the continued vibrancy of our membership offering and the relevancy of our supportive services.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or experience equivalency in Business or Hospitality, evidence of continuing education training essential
  • Experience: 10+ years of hospitality leadership within a private club preferred, CMAA Certification preferred
  • Qualifying Skills: Knowledge of hotel operations, housekeeping, facilities management, facilities maintenance, cost accounting, marketing, staff enrichment & development, communications, long-range planning, and community/civic relations.
  • Personal Skills: Platinum Club member first focus, inclusive of staff enrichment and member-engaging service training experience
Date Position Available: 1st Quarter 2023
